Thanks to you, enlightened one, I am far better edumicated than I was before I read this offering! You may be a reincarnation of the news from Lake Woebegone. Anchorage was my home town for many years. Alaska has unfortunately gone woker and woker in recent years. I remember many cold snaps when the temp went to -25 and I've been in Seward on the 4th of July when it snowed! You just never know what you're going to get from that "box of chocolates," but somewhere near to mid-August, what we called "termination dust" hits the mountain peaks around Anchorage. Called so, because all the hippies fled for warmer climes around that time.

Termination dust, I like it! I think I knew you were up there. I spent a week in Anchorage one February to speak at a conference. It coincided with the Iditarod, so it was actually quite interesting.
